My father thought it was hilarious. You'd have thought someone died the way he called me downstairs to see it on his computer.
The surgery is an odd story. I actually got hurt at an Independents show back in October, but doctors are stupid. I tore the cartilage in my knee, but they kept making me wait too long between visits so by the time they put me on the operating table in January, the constant falling and the being on and off crutches making my leg weaker, they cut me open and found out I tore my ACL ligament. So now while I'm looking for a new job months later, I'm awaiting a ligament transplant in mid-late June as well.
Whoa that surgery sounds complicated! Haha, good luck with that, hope you'll get well soon! How'd you manage to get hurt anyways? Sorry for a very late reply, haha.

If it's complicated, it's only complicated for the doctors. I just get to sleep through the damn thing
Eh, a bunch of my friends went to the show to hang out, and NJ shows seem to be kinda lacking these days. I dunno if it's just the people are now growing up, whatever, but my friend said he was gonna start a pit and then didn't. So after the show, when he wasn't looking, I decided to run him into a wall. He was standing in the middle of the room, drinkin a beer and not paying attention to me, so I ran at him and when my shoulder connected with his, rather than him moving, my knee twisted around and I crumbled at his feet.

Ouch....I hope everything goes/is going okay with that. Once you get back on your feet, you might want to check out a band that looks to be doing a decent # of NJ shows. They're called the Statues of Liberty and they're out of NYC. If you've heard of a band called Bananafishzero (I have never actually heard their music, so I dunno what they sound like), one of their former members is in there.
