Actually, I just got in from work a little while ago, just finished eating dinner and I'm nursing my knee (finally had my surgery last week) and trying to get un-lazy enough to pay my bills and play with my parrots rather than curl up on the floor and take a nap.
How's your knee now Spooky? Did the surgery go alright? I've been lazy aswell, I have tons of bills myself, from ordering CD's, haha!

The surgery went well, but I'm not doing so well today, hence not at work. Missing more time at the new job is NOT something I want to do, but I only have one body, I can find another job if I NEED to. Crazy how one dumb move at a show can affect the next 8+ months of your life...
Sorry to hear you werenęt feeling good, hope you're better now Spooky! Sorry for the late reply!

The job loves you? Haha what do you do for work? Glad your leg is better!

I'm processing retail and lease contracts for a company that sells VERY expensive cars. They love me because in the short amount of time I've been actually working, I'm picking things up VERY quickly and my production is the highest of all the new workers and higher than some of the old timers.
Thanks E. Now, next time...I have to make sure nothing goes wrong when I see you guys again. Once more I might just end up cutting it off.
Awesome that they like you at your work Spooky, and it's great you're recovering nicely! Sorry for the slow activety from my side these past days/weeks, I've been outta town visiting my sister, and this last week I have been witout an internet connection, but now I'm back! So, how has everybody's summer been?

It was REALLY cool that they liked me. But when I was on my vacation (San Diego for ComicCon), something happened with the stock market, no new work was coming in and a big deal fell through, so I lost the job. So it's back to unemployment for me :(
Ah that sucks!! Hope you'll find yourself some new work soon! Did you at least have a cool vacation?

::hugs:: I'm sorry about the job The economy sucks right now. I don't envy anyone who works in a business that involves selling anything expensive or handling/lending money. I work in a law office that does some real estate and a lot of networking. One mortgage company we've done work with has gone out of business and another one that, apparently, my bosses don't like, went bankrupt, although, according to CNN.com, a bank is looking to save their asses. Personally, I hope they back out...I don't like this mortgage company either...I interned for HUD's (US goverment agency that regulates real estate practices and manages government subsidized housing in America) legal departmenta few years ago and I saw their name in various attorneys' files too many times for my comfort.
I guess it's okay that I lost my job when I did because alot of things just happened in my life right after that, and I've gotten really sick as a result and probably would have had a breakdown in the office. Luckily the summer's almost over and as I'm getting better, there should be more jobs available.
Glad to hear you're getting better and that the **** didn't really hit the fan until after you were freed up to get sick. Good luck on finding a new job and, in addition. finding one that has a nice company culture and has no need to lay off anyone. What do you typically do when you work?
