It was really brutal when Jrr was banned. There are a few members on that board that think they can be really rude to you, but if you call them on their **** they start whining about it and do everything in their power to get you banned, and the sad thing is that these particular members have a lot of power on the board.

Do you live in NYC? My boyfriend and I are going there for five days in April as my graduation present. I'm so excited that I just might crap my pants. He's already been looking up on good record stores, but do you know if there are any good shows to go to between April 14th and the 20th?
We're going to try to go see Conan O'Brien. haha

Emily-I live on Long Island within an easy train ride of NYC. Sorry, but I don't know about any of the local shows this far in advance. When I know something, I'll let you know. Sadly, it appears that you're narrowly missing the Independents who will be in Jersey 5/4, a lthough you really need a car to get to the venue they'll be playing at anyway. And too bad you guys arrived too late to go to Wowsville Records...that store was great. Someone who worked there once told me the Independents performed there. No matter what you do, you're going to stumble across something thrilling every day. When you've never been in NYC before or haven't been there much, it's just that kind of city. But make sure you hit the Gem Spa, which is on 2nd Avenue on one of the single digit streets (I think 7th), and get an egg cream...they make great egg creams! ANd, if it hasn't moved (there's been some talk), go to Love Saves the Day on 2nd Avenue and 7th st....that place is cool. And make sure you check the piece of St. Mark's Place between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. And try and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge at night...they have a walk lane and view is ****ing amazing...it's a long walk, but you can catch the subway on the other side so you don't have to walk back. And get a drink at Manitobas, which is on Avenue B, either between or close to 6th and 7th...it's a cool little bar and it's owned by the Dictators' Frontman. Members of the Independents have performed there with Joey as well. Good luck on getting tickets to Conan! And congrats on the graduation! What are you graduating from?

As for the Ramones.com board, I used to be on that board on a regular basis and I used to be on smaller board that one of the current (or at least recent) moderators used to moderate.A tiny board with small amounts of traffic is one thing, ramones.com board is another. She just can't handle power, plain and simple. I lost all respect for her not too long after she took her place as moderator and would have even if I hadn't been treated like a troublemaker for daring to question her actions OVER PRIVATE MESSAGE (some wouldn't be so respectful). When the Ramones.com board shut down for a few months in 2005, she was placed as moderator on the Joeyramone.com board when ramones.comers started to migrate over. Even with their bull**** behavior, everything was fine, actually the board had started to regenerate from something else, until she parked her fat ass on that board and started playing favorites, censoring people and demanding unquestioned authority. Not long after she was removed as moderator from the Joey board, things went back to normal there. I think that if she had been taken off the ramones.com board soon after she was put on, like maybe BEFORE she played favorites long enough for certain people to snake their poisonious roots into the fabric of things, the board might be salvagable today.

You know, I used to be friendly with some of those people you mention. With one of them, she loved me to death, loved that I spoke my mind, all that **** UNTIL I dared to criticize her, then I became a brat with a big mouth who needed discipline. I used to fight back and forth with her and her male counterpart until one day my senior year in college, I had something happen and I realized, why the **** am I even bothering? There's so much more important **** in this world and these people think it's the right thing to live in a junior high bubble. Over the course of the next year, my presence on the board slowly went down to almost none and it remains there. So fo course she came to the Joeyramone.com board and started pissing and moaning about how I had an agenda against her because she "told me off" or some bull**** like that...she was claiming those two things and I think she connected them somehow (regardless of how she put it, not exactly how it went in real life, but that's another story for another day). I gave her a piece of my mind, she made her obligatory response (obligatory because she feels the need to have the last word with everything) that, as usual tried to put all the **** on me (ha). She left the board soon after that and hasn't been there since...good ****ing riddance.

The sad thing is that I used bits and pieces I learned from when we were friendly, looked up that woman up online and found her and she actually is not only an adult, but an attorney. And she feels the need to use online personalities to push teenagers around. How ****ing pathetic is that? And what's even more pathetic is that IPs were accidently revealed for a long period of time a few years back and she and her male counterpart actually matched not one, but 3 IPs. She's in NY, he's in Chicago. How is that possible? It is if they're the same person. And this other guy took some time and went looking and found like 5-10 more people (I forget how many exactly, but I'm pretty sure it was more than 5 and less than 10) had the same three IPs. What a ****ing fruitcake! For the record, I met her once in line for the 2004 b-day bash and the female, you know which one, is the one she's the closest to in real life, only she's pathetic. babyish and plain ****ing off her rocker.

Oh hold it...you're supposedly gonna get banned if you trash talk the ramones.com board on other boards. Oh my G_d! What if someone's reading this! ::rolls eyes:: Man, nothing like a nice flash back to kindergarden. I'm 23 years old, I have a college degree and a post graduate cert and someone expects me to follow kindergarden rules. If anyone from the Ramones.com board who has the power to ban me is reading this, then go choke on a dick...I don't give a ****ing **** if I'm banned from your board because there's nothing ****ing on there worth reading.
