haha oh god. My dad is a huge Elvis fan and passed it on to my sister. I picked up more on Buddy Holly than Elvis, but I still think he's great.
My dad was a DJ in the late 60s and 70s. He loves 50s rock'n'roll, so that was all we ever listened to. We didn't have cable, and the only stations we listened to on the radio were oldies, so my sister and I were never really introduced to newer, mainstream music until we were a bit older. When we were, I was horrified. She liked some newer bands but remained obsessed with Elvis. When we went to Florida to see family, she insisted on going to an Elvis Presley museum. In almost every picture of us when we're younger, she's wearing her Elvis t-shirt. I am wearing bunny ears. I was younger than her by four years, so it's not embarassing. ....right?
